Meet Jessica Hirsch, a New York-based sponsored Sony photographer travelling the world capturing drool-worthy delicious food. Jessica shares them on her Instagram and blog called ‘Cheat Day Eats’ with her audience. Read on to learn more about her work and journey!
What did you do in college?
I majored in math and minored in education as I planned to be a HS math teacher.
What are the things that matter to you most?
My family and friends and their health. My community and being there for them as a positive influence.
What does a typical day in your week look like?
With Covid-19, my weeks look similar to how they usually look in between our travels. I start my day off (I am an early bird so up by 6:30 am) with a few hours of editing, followed by setting up photoshoots with recipe content and then answering emails. Of course, it’s essential to give yourself downtime, and I focus on myself by working out, meditating and watching my favourite shows.
Are there key people or books that have moulded you?
My parents moulded me to be kind, loving and a hard worker. The book “The Four Agreements” is a book that has changed the way I think and view situations.
How has your experience been in building your community online?
Building an online community is extremely rewarding because I can reach and connect with people all over the world. Especially during the pandemic, these online relationships are more important than ever, and I find it brings us together.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I plan to continue to build my brand past my online presence.
We hope you enjoyed it and we thank Jessica Hirsch for this interesting interview.
